Local Design @ MID16

MID16 is hitting the streets and getting down-and-dirty with the local design scene in and around Melbourne. Friday is dedicated to learning, playing and exploring – serving up a chock-a-block timetable of hot-topic talks, workshops and tours of Melbourne’s unique architectural offerings. Saturday’s events are characterised by intimate gatherings across Richmond and Collingwood. Installations with catering and sensory delights will transform spaces into areas for telling stories, not just showing off brands. To help you all out, our savvy editors have compiled a list of their MID MUSTS. Tickets to popular events are known to sell out quickly, so stay tuned. Café Culture + Insitu is collaborating with six local designers as they explore the creative design evolution from idea to product realisation. Included in their line-up are the design powerhouses: Anaesthetic; Anchor Ceramics; ChristelH; Didier; LifeSpaceJourney; and Savage Design. MID MUST:
