As we look back on MID16, we can’t help but be impressed with the quality of participating designers and creative for The Project this year. Our annual collection of unique design collaborations, this year saw professional creatives and students from architecture and design unite witha range of high-end exhibitors to create ambitious installations all focussed around the idea of Evolution.
One highlight from The Project series was Scandinavian Business Seating’s exhibition space, created in collaboration with Bullet Studios. Playing with the history and evolution of the HÅG Capisco, this timeless piece of furniture (first designed in 1984) was seen to never have been more relevant in today’s changing and workplace.
With an installation driven by layered sheer curtains, SB Seating and Bullet showed how the Capisco chair mimics human movement. The 3 layers of curtains transformed and evolved depending on which angle they were seen from.
Check out the photos from this great installation below, and remember that The Project entries are still open until Wednesday 24 August!
